Our Day out of the City

We went to a place called Wadi Karak that was about 2 hours drive outside of the city, very close to the Dead Sea. It was SO nice to be out in the fresh air and sunshine. The boys LOVED the water, especially Mason. And we couldn't slow Judah or Mason down all day until we got back in the car and they crashed.

The view from our front door. You can see a bit of our neighborhood. I think this picture must have been taken on a Friday morning because there are no cars around. Usually every other day of the week, you have so search for a place to park. But the black gate is ours and we have a bit of a front yard.

Here is our little rental car. Oh my how this little thing has changed my life....:-) I cannot explain it really, but before we got the rental car, I really felt trapped in the house and now I feel freedom. I feel like an adult again. I feel like if I need to go to the grocery store and stop and get something else on the way home, I CAN!!! It has been SO nice! Caleb is so cute, he said, "we don't want to take taxi's anymore because of the SMOKE!" Inevitably when you get into a taxi here, even if you have 3 small kids and are pregnant, the taxi driver will light up a cigarette. Yuck..... Anyway, hopefully we will soon be able to purchase our own car and can say goodbye to the little rental.

I have this amazingly creative friend from High School that I want to share with you. Ever since I have known Maile she has always been coming up with beautiful creations and helping all of her friends around her to look as good as can be. I remember that almost every dance, Maile had a line up of people to get their hair and makeup done by her artistry.....fun times!
