The Good Ol Days

I have been going through old videos and found
this video of Caleb that I had never seen before. Oh my goodness, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. It has been a good reminder to enjoy every day as it comes and not to take my time with these little ones for granted, even as hard as it may be somedays when they are giving me a hard time. So, that is my challenge to myself and to you, treasure the present because it will quickly turn into "The good 'ol days"

Shawarma's

If you have never eaten a Shawarma, you really need to try one. They are delicious and something that you can find plenty of in this part of the world. Awhile back a friend of mine told me about this article in the New York Times that talks about Cafeteria Reem, a shawarma place that is right around the corner from our house. I have been meaning to and wanting to get a picture of our family standing in front of it, but it has actually been awhile since we have eaten there now. Although at this time of the year, during Ramadan, we could probably walk up there at 4 am and get ourselves one. It just always seems like such a small world when some seemingly little insignificant restaurant that you live near is written about in a newspaper from home. You'll have to come visit us so we can walk up the road and eat one together. :-)

Remembering...

This video looks dark, but it changes once you press play. I was going through old photos and videos and found this cute video of Judah. Makes me realize how quickly kids grow and how easy it is to forget how cute they were.

A couple of us moms recently got together and put together a Vacation Bible School for the kids. It went really well and the kids had a blast and even learned some memory verses. It was great and nice to take our minds off of the heat. It has been SO hot the last few weeks.

Caleb took this picture and I was amazed how well he did.

Isaac is smiling already. He is now 6 weeks old. He has been a great baby so far and a great addition to our house full of boys!
What's wrong with this picture? ... Well, these crazy boys decided to put their sweatshirts on when it was 102 degrees. And we do not have AC and most of the time it is hotter in the house then outside. Then not only were they wearing their sweatshirts, they decided to wrestle in them. Ugh... made me hot just looking at them.
